Solution

This error message is caused by configuration variables length
that exceeds the limit defined in MicroStation source code.

Limits:
Maximum line length (this is the longest that a line can be in a
MicroStation configuration file) = 2048

Maximum macro length (this is the longest expanded value that
MicroStation can handle) = 31744

Available memory can also play a role in this, because the
memory in which MicroStation stores the cfg vars and their
values is allocated at runtime.
