Problem

Error message when importing a LIN file through the custom linestyle editor. "Some styles could not be imported because the fonts or text styles could not be found".

HOT_WATER_SUPPLY
GAS_LINE

Those linetypes use the ltypeshp font. I have that font installed in my
computer but when I use it in AutoCAD it is a ?proxy1:ltypeshp?. It is
the reason why I cannot import those two line styles?

Product: MicroStation V8
Version: 08.00.04.01
Area: Custom Linestyles

Solution

The two linestyles that are being imported use a STANDARD text style. The file needs to contain a text style named STANDARD. If you open and AutoCAD file there already is a tex style delivered name STANDARD this is the text style it uses to import the linetyle from the .lin file.

In 8.0.4 that's case sensitive; in later versions it is not.
