Problem
Lock a configuration variable so it is unable to be changed in the future.
Solution
This solution should not be used to unlock configuration variables that are locked by Bentley or by a company due to that company's standards and practices. Proceed with care.
Within a user configuration file (UCF) or project configuration file(PCF) start a new line and type: "%lock <varName>", with the name of the variable replacing <varName>.
For example:
%lock MS_IMAGE
When you save the configuration file and open MicroStation anew using the user or project you have altered, you will see that an "L" has appeared next to the name of the variable in the Configuration dialog and that the variable is not editable.
