Problem
MicroStation crashes on start up
Solution
Ideally collect the following, log a Service Request and work with the Support team in troubleshooting the issue.
• Crash logs - check video
• Event logs - check video
The following workaround of “Create new UPF file” has fixed the crashes for some Users.
Note: Your current User Preference settings, will be lost when you create a new UPF file.
Create new UPF file
• Close the product
• Backup the following UPF file from the following location. Rename Personal.upf to Personal.bak
C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\10.0.0\prefs\Personal.upf
• When you reopen the product, a new UPF file is created
• Open MicroStation and check if it loads
