Problem

Project template not found.

This error occurs when attempting to create a new project from MicroStation Manager.

Solution

Move Project.template into project folder.

Error is caused by:
Location of _USTN_PROJECTROOT does not contain "project.template" file.

1. Locate the delivered "project.template" file.

The typical location is here:
C:\programdata\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\Workspace\projects\

2. Browse to location of project folders.
The location of the project folders is defined by the following configuration variable: _USTN_PROJECTROOT.

3. Copy the "project.template" file from delivered location (step #1) to the project folders location (step #2).

Note:
When a project is created, the associated project configuration file (.PCF) is populated by the project template file. It is required in order to create a new project.
