Problem Description
Any file opened in MicroStation has the view window slightly lower when one view is open. Maximizing the view window and save settings will not be maintained at the reopening of the file.
Steps to Resolve
This happens when your workstation has two set up monitors, with different size screens.
Go to the computer’s display settings
The smaller screen would be lower than the biggest screen
Move up the smaller screen to line up with the bigger screen at the top
Click on the bigger screen and tick “Make this my main display”
Apply the settings
