Bentley MicroStation User Accreditation for Civil Designers Offering

This accreditation program has been designed to test your knowledge and use of fundamental CAD concepts and basic MicroStation usage in a 2D, civil-oriented, plans-production workflow.

This program is designed for any MicroStation user seeking an official recognition of your Bentley MicroStation skills.  

Details of the skills covered within this course are provided below.

To achieve the accreditation users will need to complete project tasks that demonstrate their skills and abilities within a provided example Civil Project. Within this program, Bentley is teaching users best practices and skills for MicroStation. If you require training for a design application,, such as OpenRoads further training content is available on Bentley LEARN server. No additional software is required to complete this program.

The Bentley MicroStation User Accreditation Program is an official credential from Bentley Systems, Inc. that verifies you have the essential MicroStation software skills and workflows to be a productive asset to your employer.

By attending the accreditation course and completing a hands-on design project, you will have demonstrated the skills and knowledge that will make you stand out from the competition and enable you to advance your career to the next level.

After you have satisfactorily completed the accreditation, you will receive an official Bentley certificate and appropriate badging.

In addition, Companies whose users gain this accreditation will be able to :

  • Demonstrate that their project teams and employees possess the professional skills necessary to be competitive in the AEC industry.
  • Showcase their employee credentials to support future project bids and ensure compliance with client requirements.

 Program Requirements

To ensure that you are able to complete the accreditation program, Bentley recommends that users have the following:

  • A minimum of 40 hours of design experience utilizing the MicroStation CONNECT Edition.
  • Submission of a signed accreditation program agreement.
  • Take the recommended courses, as detailed within the program.
  • Users must take the required accreditation course(s).

For your project to be assessed and to obtain accreditation, Users must:

Submit their completed project within 6 weeks of attending the accreditation course.

Your project submission will be reviewed by a Bentley instructor. If your submission meets the standards required for approval, the user accreditation certificate is awarded.

If your project submittal does not meet completion requirements, the user can correct and resubmit their project within 2 weeks. If a project fails to meet the required standards after this time, reattempts may be permitted at the discretion of the instructor and may require additional training.
