Problem
My dimensions turn upside down when referencing saved views into my
master file. How can I resolve this?
Product: MicroStation V7.1/J
Version: 07.01.04.16
Area: area, Dimensions
Solution
Open the file that contains the dimension. Attach the saved view that is
used during the reference attachment. In the MicroStation Key in
Browser, key in "MDL L CALCULAT" and then press enter, followed by "calc
tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1" and then pres s enter again.
Finally key in "change dimension view 1" and then press enter. Select
the dimension hat does not display correctly and accept. Select Save
Settings. Open The master file again and the dimension should appear
correctly.
The key in "calc tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1" is a design file
setting, so if you want this setting to be permanent in all files set it
in your seed file. If you have a design file with previously placed
dimensions, you can use the key in to set the value but you have to use
the key in "change dimension view 1" to update the dimension. Note, when
you use the "change dimension view 1" key in you have to be in the saved
view where the dimension was placed. The dimension will display
incorrectly if the key in is used in another view.
To check whether the value of tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation is 1 or
0, use the key in "calc tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg. viewRotation".
