Problem
What is an .dgn-compress file ?
Solution
A*.dgn-compress file is created when in MicroStation the action "Compress Design" is started. It is normally a temporary file that is deleted after the compress has finished successfully. However, in the case that MicroStation crashed during a "Compress Design" it is possible that the *.dgn-compress is not being deleted.
The file can be manually removed from the directory/folder
