Hello,
I have checked the possibility to use parametric cells but I find that for the following case, working with non-parametric cells works better:
1- Insert a 2D cell (closed shape) and create a parametric solid with a simple extrusion.
2- Replace the cell used as profile, for a different cell (not talking about variations), so that their corresponding extruded solid automatically change. This step should be possible to do for multiple cells at once.
This workflow works using non-parametric cells as the profile. On the other hand, using parametric cells the parametric solid fails: "A change to an input element caused the Parametric Solid to fail. The parametric solid has been replaced with a (non-parametric) SmartSolid. "Undo" this operation to restore the Parametric Solid."
For parametric cells one would have to insert a new 2D cell for each solid to be modified on the correct position, right click on the profile used for extrusion inside properties, and replace the cell for the new inserted cell. This can't be done for multiple cells at once.
It seems to me really strange that this functionality works for non-parametric cells and not for parametric cells. Could you please tell me if it is possible to do what I intend, and how?
Thank you,
Gabriel
