Can I drape point data using project mesh?

Hi all,

I'm working with Microstation V8i SelectSeries 4. I work in a 3D stereo environment with aerial imagery. I'm trying to figure out if I can use the mesh project tool to drape data points to the mesh I created. I can get the desired result with line segments but not with single data points. Any help/information is appreciated.
