Background
When placing a Text Field defined from various Element, File or Model Properties the background display defaults to grey and cannot be changed. A request to include a method of contolling whether this was displayed or to use the background defined in the associated Text Style.
Steps to Accomplish
- Included in MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 13) is a new configuration variable that can be used to either suppress the display of the grey background or to use the selected Text Style settings including its background color.
_USTN_TEXTFIELD_BACKGROUND_PREFS
1. If variable is set to 0 then both check boxes are off
2. If variable is set 1 then Hide Field Background checkbox is checked.
3. If variable is set 2 then both Hide Field background as well as Apply Field Background from Text style is checked and enabled. - Open the Configuration Variable dialog to make changes to this configuration variable. If you select to add a "New" variable with this it may advise that it is already defined as [Null] and ask whether you want to change the setting.
