How to find which version of MicroStation I am running
Background
When you need to know the exact version of MicroStation you are using (in the 08.xx.xx.xxx format), please follow the steps here below.
Steps to Accomplish
Option 1 - MicroStation V8i
In MicroStation V8i (Select Series) open the Help > About MicroStation dialog
You will find the MicroStation version number (i.e. 08.11.09.829)
Option 2 - MicroStation CONNECT Edition
In MicroStation CONNECT Edition go to File > Help > About MicroStation
You will find the MicroStation version number (i.e. 08.11.09.829)
Option 3
If, for some reason, you are not able to open MicroStation, right click on MicroStation's shortcut, either on your desktop or in the Start-menu and select "Properties": 
- In the "Properties->Shortcut->Target" field you will find the path to "ustation.exe". Click the button 'Open file location'.

Windows Explorer will open and "ustation.exe" will be highlighted. Right click on "ustation.exe" and select Properties. In the Properties dialog, select the "Details" tab, there you can see the Product Version and release number (i.e. 08.11.09.459).

Menu: Utilities > Keyin > version
Version number is displayed in Message Center at the bottom
