Cannot install .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 10

When installing MicroStation V8i on Windows 10 operating system, .NET Framework 3.5 fails to install.

Solution

As the following image shows, if you check on the .NET Framework 3.5 options, the install fails.

To resolve this issue please connect to the internet and Enable the Windows Updates.

This will ensure that the .NET Framework 3.5 feature can be selected and installed.

Note: Even when they have a fully install package for .NET Framework 3.5 the installation will fail if the Windows Update is turned off.
