How to prevent a V7 Cell Library (pre-V8) from being upgraded in MicroStation V8?

Solution

Note - This functionality is only available 08.05.01.XX and later

Disable this functionality by setting this capability variable:

CAPABILITY_CELLLIB_ALLOWUPGRADEV7

For example, to disable this functionality in all workmodes:

_USTN_CAPABILITY > -CAPABILITY_CELLLIB_ALLOWUPGRADEV7

With this set the following message will display when trying to upgrade V7 Cell Libraries to V8 format:

A capability variable is preventing this action. These variables are defined in your workspace configuration. More information may be obtained from your system administrator.
