I have a raster that is slightly off scale, 10m true is shown as 9960mm.
I use measure distance, and 9960 appears in the message centre.
I obtain the command 'scale raster' and into the scale, I am going to
enter the reciprocal of .996.
The GOOD news is that the scale can be entered as '1/ ', and it will do the division,
so I dont have to go out to excel,
The BAD news is that as soon as I type 1/, into the message centre pops a piece of
useless information: xs=1, ys=1, zs=1; so I can no longer see 0.996...
I have to either bring up the message centre, (then put it away again)
or memorise the number. Or write it down with pencil and paper.
AND
still cannot edit the word out of the message line; cannot select text within the message line, which
repeats the measured distance in four places, and claims that 'projected distance' is equal to all
the other distances.
If its going to cite 4 values, should they not include delta x, delta y ???
Can the message centre be prevented from blurting unwanted information, removing
the needed info from view....just in time...??
thanks
Jim
