Using Advanced Search to change points in cells

Problem Description

User has files originating from a 3rd party. These files are converted to DGN file format. But on opening the contain points or line strings with a 0 (zero) length in several different cells. User want these point hidden from screen and plot

Steps to Resolve

The following steps can only be done in MicroStation CONNECT Edition, as the previous version(s) of MicroStation don't have an Advanced Search option available

  1. Open the DGN in MicroStation CONNECT Edition
  2. Open from the Explorer dialog the Advanced Search
  3. Search for Lines, where the Total Length is equal to 0
  4. Click OK
  5. Next step is to open the Properties dialog and change the symbology of these elements. This can be changing the color or move them all to a seperate Level (Level 000 hidden points as in the example in the below video)
