Resolution vs Accuracy, angle and design unit readout

Resolution vs Accuracy.
A high school kid learns the difference.
PD does not appear to.

Angle readout 'accuracy' (means resolution, accuracy is incorrect)
can be 8 digits. Of a degree

But working units can only be 6 digits.
But you can have 8 digits in working units, if using scientific
notation, ie 0.12345678E+14

So if you want the most accurate readout for working units, you
are forced to use scientific.

HOWEVER when you are entering a number into an edit box, and
the existing number is written in scientific notation, and you
double click on the number - guess what - the exponent part
DOES NOT HIGHLIGHT. Which would be only a nuisance, except
it is not visible in that part to the right outside the edit box.

So you enter a number, eg to extend line 200 master units, and there
is either +e02, or just 02, to the right. So the extend line goes crazy.

How about TRIPLE click, which, by convention, should select the whole line?

No. Still does not include exponent.

So the scientific notation is still not quite debugged yet:

until it is, can we please have 8 digits for (non scientific) design
units readout?

Jim
