I’m currently starting to use MicroStation Connect edition, and I’m previously I used MicroStation V8i SelectSeries 3. I have problem making drawings from my model, when I use named groups. When I take references from my model and choose the named group I want only to show, it usually shows whole model. And only way to get it working and showing only named group objects, I need to close whole MicroStation, and open the file again.
This problem is frustrating, because it wastes lots of time, when I close and open file again. Also, when I make folded views from refence (with named group) to my drawings, same thing happens. And I must close and start MicroStation again. And in Model space, if I add elements to named group, I also need to restart MicroStation, if I want to show it correctly.
Is this some bug related to Connect Edition, or is there some configuration parameter or option, which I can change? So that program updates named groups to my views.
With older Selectseries 3, this problem didn’t occur. Only problem was, that if I added some new elements to named group, it didn’t update new elements in my sheet views. But if I changed to my references named group to some other, and then back to original, it updated new elements to views. This trick doesn’t work in new Connect Edition.
Hopefully we find easy fix to this problem. Other users in my workplace also have this problem, who are using Connect edition.
