Problem
How to create a dimension style in MicroStation v8 and where to locate these tools.
Solution
To open the Dimension Styles tool you should go into the menu:
> Element > Dimension Styles
You should then see the Dimension Styles dialog box.
Select the "New" icon, which looks like a blank piece of paper, or select "New" from within the Style menu pull-down.
Highlight the "untitled" text and enter a new text style name.
Set up the desired settings for your dimension style which could include various items under the Geometry, Units, Text, Symbology or Advanced tabs like:
- Extension Lines
- Terminators
- Leaders
- Text Styles
- Text Formatting
- etc.
After these have been finalised click on the "Save" icon or select "Save" from the Style menu choose "Save".
