This is a really strange issue. File is setup like an AutoCAD file - default model where we reference in all other models, and a Sheet that we self reference the model to with nesting enabled. Today, I needed to add one new reference file to this file, just like I did a few days ago to another file. But when I change to the model, I cannot return to the sheet without getting the dreaded MicroStation stopped working dialog box. I have sent one log file with a brief explanation of this process. The View Group list says I'm back in the Sheet, but the model dialog box says otherwise. I have tried every method I know to change back to the sheet but it always failed and crashed the software.
I added a new empty design model to the file and can switch back and forth between the sheet and this new file without issue. By copying reference files, I was able to rebuild a new copy of the self reference and then removed the bad model and am back in business.
