Problem

I need to create a brand new User profile in MicroStation, either because my current user preference file is corrupt or we need to incorporate a new user's configuration customizations into MicroStation.

Solution

There is a simple way to complete this task.

Open MicroStation. At the File Open window that appears when you open the program, go to the bottom right of the window. Click the pull-down list associated with 'User:'. From the list, select 'New...' and then name the user on the next dialog. It's as simple as that! You now have a new user (along with the upf and ucf files associated to it) created within MicroStation.
