I'm in DWG mode. I've created few elements in one DWG that I need to copy and place to different positions (imagine simple mark-up elements). elements are created on specific level, which is created as new one in each DWG file once I open it. now I select elements, use CTRL+C and enter new file, create specific level, make it active and use CTRL+V. to my surprise, elements are placed on different level. since I see then I can live with that, however it requires few more clicks. but in few files they are placed on level which is turned off (I can see the crosshair, but no elements and once placed they do not keep selected) so I have to turn all levels on to find them.
is there a known reason why such elements during copy/paste operation between files are placed on different levels? is there a way how to force them on specific one (ideally the one they were created on, since it does exist in file)?
I know about ref file but I work with >100M files and to attach them and copy element takes time. yes, I know about cells too, so far I wanted to avoid it.
thanks
