How do I remove a text style from a DGN that will not delete?

Solution

If you wish to remove unused text styles from a DGN file that are locked because they were referenced at some time from a V8 DGN library, you can use the key-in

TEXTSTYLE UNLOCK <name of the locked text style>

This key-in will only work if the text style exists in your current file and is locked.

CAUTION: Once a text style is unlocked, it can be deleted.

Any text or dimensions that use a text style that can not be found will default to use the text style "None".
