Does MicroStation have a Spell Checker utility?
Product: MicroStation J
Version: 07.01.04.10
Solution
MicroStation has a Spell Checker. You can access the Spell Checker by clicking the
"Spelling" icon in the Place Text tool settings window. You can also click the Spell Checker icon in the Text tool box.
The Spell Checker tool is the fourth icon from the left in the Text tool box. The icon displays the letters ABC with a checkmark below them. The tool spell checks the existing text when you click the icon and select the text in the DGN.
When you select Place Text tool, and then select the Spell Checker icon, you can begin to correct the text that you are about to place.
While in the Spell Checker dialog box, click the Dictionary icon to customize the MicroStation dictionary. This permits you to add to the MicroStation dictionary and to make changes to the way the dictionary functions.
The dictionary can be installed anywhere (locally or on a server). You must create a variable called MS_SPELLINGUSERDICTIONARY and point it to the dictionary location.
